Animal Dress-Up Parade

Rules and Regulations:

1. The event will be open to all 4-H/F.F.A. members who have an animal entered in the Fair for competition. This will include dairy cattle, rabbits, goats and beef entries. The animal must be exhibertor's project animal.
2. Only one animal per exhibitor. Use Fair entry blank for entering this event. This entry must be submitted by August 1, 2009.
3. There will be two age groups: A. Junior Division: Age 8 to 12 B. Senior Division: Age 13 and over
4. 4-H/F.F.A. members and their animals will dress in coordinating or complimentary homemade costumes.
5. Each entrant will write a narration in story or poem form (100-150 words) which will be read while entry is on display. One part should describe the theme of the costume, while the second part tells about the youth. (Name, age, name of animal, club/chapter, community activities, etc.). Type confirmation of the animal will not be a consideration. Do Not send narrative with entry form.
6. Each entrant must check in at Fair office by 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2008. and the narration must also be delivered at this time.
7. Entries will be judged on educational value, orignality, workmanship, and audience appeal.
8. The first place winner of the junior and senior division will compete for over all contest winner.
