America 250PA Baking Contest

Celebrate America 250 with flour, butter, and hometown pride! The Franklin County Fair invites bakers of all ages to the our special contest for this year only. Bring your best recipe and celebrate 250 years of American deliciousness. See contest details and rules below.

Rules:

1. Open to Youth and Adult.

2. One entry per person.

3. Entry must be brought to the Clubhouse during exhibit drop-off times.

4. Baked goods must be made from scratch by the contestant.

5. This baking contest is open to ANY kind of baked good except ones that need to be refrigerated. The fair CANNOT refrigerate items. Items MUST be red, white, and blue themed.

6. All entries must be brought on disposable plates, etc. Franklin County Fair is not responsible for returning any dishes or plates.

7. After judging, any remaining pies will be sold at the Baked Goods auction on Tuesday.

8. Baked Goods will be judged on the following:

a. Flavor 35 points

b. Inside Characteristics 25 points

c. Patriotic Theming 20 points

d. Overall Appearance 10 points

e. Creativeness 10 points

8. Prizes will be awarded to the contestant with the highest number of points. Highest total point score is 100.
